Roosevelt Park NYC Pin Oak 533_301Pin oak (quercus palustris) is a popular urban tree that generally grows to about 60 – 90 feet high. Some can be as tall as 120 feet. Pin oaks generally bloom in mid to late spring.

Pin oak is one of the less than 20 species of large trees approved for planting in New York City parks. This tree is on the west side of Roosevelt Park.
